Transport Team Leader

Salary: £25-28K +

On behalf of our client, a UK wide distribution organisation, we are seeking to recruit a Transport Team Leader to join their site in Gatwick

 

Reporting to the Transport Manager, the Team Leader will cover a Monday to Friday 10am – 7pm Shift to manage a team of Transport Administrators and Drivers.

 

Duties will include:

 

           Supervise the workload of the team and ensure the team deliver against KPIs

           Produce and monitor weekly/monthly reports on the service provided by the Transport Department

           Lead complaint investigation, ensuring communication is maintained with Internal/External Customer’s throughout the process.

           Co-ordinate and deliver training/development of Transport Team ensuring staff feel supported and valued

           Manage the recruitment and induction of any new team members in line with resource plan via Transport Manager

           Co-ordinate with Transport Manager on any performance issues within the team

           Provide cover for the department when needed

           Encourage good working relationships between all departments

           Work with Transport Manager on Operators Licence, FORS & ISO Quality compliance

 

Applicants will need to demonstrate:

 

  • At Least 12 months’ experience managing a busy Transport Office

  • Secondary Education (inc. Math’s & English) or equivalent qualification

  • Experience using CRM & Microsoft

  • Experience in a fast paced Transport Function

  • Stakeholder Engagement

As a Transport Team Leader, the successful candidate can expect a salary between £25,000 - £28,000 depending on experience as well as company benefits and great holidays.
