We are looking for an experienced Programme Manager on behalf of our public sector client based in the Greater Belfast Area.

 

 

 

Job Summary:

An excellent opportunity for an experienced Programme Manager to assist in implementing the following key objectives to achieve this aim:

 

 

·Working in partnership with the Northern Ireland Women’s Sector to support individual women wanting to become further involved in politics;

·Working in partnership with the Northern Ireland Women’s, Youth and Education Sectors as well as the media to promote the idea of gender-equality in political representation as essential and achievable with the correct targeted action; and

·Facilitating gender-specific training, coaching and study exchanges for female members in partnership with the organisations support services

 

 

Duration: Temporary 18 Months

Salary: £30,280

Operational Hours: Mon-Fri (37 Hours per week)

Closing Date: Noon – 15th November 2021

 

 

Essential Criteria

 

Applicants must have either:

 

 

1. At least a primary degree, minimum 2.2 classification, in any subject. Applications will be considered from applicants with formal qualifications of an equivalent or higher standard to those stated.

 

AND

At least two years’ experience in the essential criteria listed below.

 

OR

2. Four years’ experience in the following essential criteria:

 

Essential Criteria

a. Using effective oral and written communications skills to accurately and clearly explain complex or detailed information to team members, members of the public, customers and managers in line with organisational policies and procedures.

b.Facilitation skills – working with the Women’s Caucus, external partner groups e.g. third sector, members of the public, private sector etc. to solve problems, aid decision-making and meet group objectives.

c.Planning and organising workload using own initiative to deliver high quality work to deadlines.

d. Developing and maintaining effective working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders such as colleagues, managers, elected representatives, departmental officials, and other external stakeholders to ensure a high quality service and achieve tight deadlines.

 

 

 

Desirable Criteria

 

a.Contributing to the planning, allocation, monitoring, evaluation and control of resources e.g. external researchers / consultants working with the Caucus, project management and finances etc.

b. Effectively using Microsoft Office to manage information, create documents and assist in providing a quality service to customers.

c. Undertaking or commissioning research to assist in the drafting of strategic plans, policies, reports and briefing documents.
