Junior Surveyor

On behalf of our client, we have an exciting opportunity for a Junior Surveyor to join the Belfast Office in a highly successful UK wide organisation.

 

This is an excellent career opportunity in an innovative organisation. Full training will be given however Applicants must:

 

 

•        Be a confident client-facing professional, ideally with a property background;

•        Excellent written skills for complex report writing;

•        Working knowledge of CAD.

•        Excellent communication skills to discuss projects with clients and explain needs to colleagues and team members;

•        Desire to provide the best possible care to clients and colleagues;

•        Desire to interact with a variety of professionals with high-level client exposure;

•        Able to manage own time and meet changing deadlines;

•        Good problem solving and analytical mind to analyse schemes, their repercussions and solutions;

•        Able to identify and manage risk in changing and challenging circumstances;

•        Conscientious and responsible individual;

•        Good work ethic where attendance and time-keeping are valued;

•        Willingness to work beyond contracted hours when projects so demand;

•        Work well in a team;

•        Hardworking and proactive approach;

•        Good sense of humour.

 

The Junior Surveyor will:

 

•        Site visits including, where sites will include many prestigious commercial developments;

•        Photographing sites, processing these photos and handing them to surveyors and CAD technicians for consideration and inclusion in reports and calculations;

•        Obtaining Land Registry documentation for new projects;

•        Local authority liaison for plans and other documentation;

•        Liaison with internal departments such as the CAD team;

•        Consistently chasing documents and ensuring deadlines are met;

•        Becoming familiar with building plans and elevations;

•        To examine legal documents and deeds and assess their relevance to the new development;

•        To ensure all records relating to sites, contacts, drawings, schedules are stored in keeping with company guidelines.
