Financial Control and Operations Manager

Experienced Manager required for horseracing, leisure, corporate and events business located on the outskirts of Lisburn.

The successful candidate will deal with all accounting, operations and administrative tasks in a busy office at this premier events facility.

The role offers significant opportunities and challenges to the right candidate. Salary offered is approx. £30,000


Job responsibilities:

·Manage all operational and administrative aspects of events and activities;

·Responsible for monitoring and adhering to strict costing and budgets;

·Scheduling of all pre-race and pre-events meetings, management meetings, supplier meetings, stakeholder meetings, or other planning required for efficient operations;

·Monitoring raceday and events expenses. Preparation of post day flashcard reconciliations and KPIs;

·Posting to accounts package, daily reconciliations, accounts receivable/payable;

·Work with CEO to ensure rigorous control and efficiency in the operation including projections.

Essential criteria:

·3 years senior accounting and administrative management experience in events, horse racing, sports, leisure, conferencing, or hospitality sectors;

·Accounting training and demonstrable financial experience;

·Proficiency in Microsoft Office and accounts packages;

·Excellent organisational and communications skills;

·Knowledge and passion for horseracing and events;

·Knowledge of key drivers in running UK and Irish events, conferences and leisure activities;

·Strong legislative, regulatory and Health & Safety experience;

·‘hands on’, enterprising and self-motivated are a ‘MUST’.

Reporting to the Race Course CEO. This is a Full time role, mon-fri with flexibility needed. Interviews are set to take place week commencing the 18th of November
