Financial Accounts Manager

On behalf of our client we are seeking to recruit a Financial Accounts Manager to join their team in the Isle of Man.

The role: The Accounts Manager will control the financial accounting of the company and to manage the Accounts Function. Managing a team of up to 7 and reporting to the Finance Director in the UK. This role will offer the opportunity to travel to other company locations.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monthly management accounts production,
  • Monthly financial reports,
  • Maintaining accurately valued stock,
  • Controlling all manual general ledger journal entries (95% is automatically posted)
  • Cash control and forecasting,
  • Sales ledger management –credit control, maximising receipts and avoiding bad debts,  Purchase ledger management – ensuring prompt invoice matching and processing,
  • VAT monthly returns,
  • Business and corporation tax,
  • Fixed Asset register management,
  • Auditor interface,
  • Annual statutory accounts preparation,
  • Annual budget co-ordination and consolidation,
  • Ad hoc reports,
  • Sales platform team support. 

 

Benefits: The Financial Accounts Manager can expect a salary between £45-50K plus a yearly performance related bonus. The company also offers a full healthcare and pension scheme. Relocation package/ Assistance is provided.

 

Criteria:

  • Degree in an accountancy or business related subject.
  • ACA/ACCA qualified. 
  • Leadership and management experience,
  • IT literate – Excellent knowledge of Excel, Organised and methodical,
  • Ability to ‘hit the ground running’ and get to the heart of issues.
  • Solution-focused, Proven analytical, planning, and organising skills,
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
