Energy Advisor- Sales- East Down area

On behalf of our client, a top Northern Ireland organisation, we are seeking an Energy Advisor to cover the East Down area.



The Energy Advisor main function is to carry out Energy Audits with domestic properties and introducing the concept of switching to Natural Gas. The Energy Advisor will be responsible for responding to sales leads and generating additional opportunities through a series of structured field canvassing activities within the East Down area. As an Energy advisor the individual will also respond to inbound and to make outbound telephone calls.


Monday to Friday 8.30am start. Usually finishing at 5pm but must be available to work to 9pm 3 nights per week between Monday and Thursday.



Salary - OTE £28k - £32 (£18,500 basic + commission) + car (branded)




Key responsibilities will include:

·Present and sell the benefits of converting to Natural Gas to potential clients

·Complete a minimum of 5 appointments per day

·Be available to work a minimum of 3 evenings per week (last appointment 20:00pm). This would be Monday to Thursday.

·Use Company resources to prepare action plans and identify specific targets

·Follow up on new leads and referrals resulting from field activity

·Identify sales prospects and contact in a timely fashion.

·Develop and maintain sales materials and product knowledge

·Establish and maintain current client and potential client relationships

·Prepare and submit daily paperwork to a high standard.

·Identify and resolve customer concerns

·Record and submit accurate daily activity.

·Communicate new opportunities and provide feedback to appropriate company staff

·Participate in marketing events such as trade shows, field canvassing, telemarketing etc.

·Have a professional appearance and portray a positive image of the Company.



·Applicants must possess a full valid driving licence and counterpart.

·Minimum of 2 years’ experience working in a customer facing role.

·Minimum of 2 years’ experience working in a target driven role.

·Candidates must be flexible with their working hours as the successful candidate will be required to carry out appointments most suitable to the business and customer e.g. evenings

·Candidates must possess a positive, enthusiastic and industrious approach to the role

·Excellent communication skills combined with strong IT and administration skills are required.
