On behalf of our client, a Top Northern Ireland employer, we are seeking a dynamic Communications Officer to join their Belfast based team on a full time permanent basis.

This is a broad role and there are opportunities to develop into other areas through portfolio roles.

 

 

 

Salary offer will depend on skills and experience but you can expect a range between £25000 and £35000 as well as a great range of company benefits.

 

 

As part of the Communications team, you will work collaboratively across the business and operate internally with management teams and employees on a broad range of communication opportunities and acts as the key coordinator for a variety of external communication providers.

 

 

 

As the Communications Officer you will play a key role in the team and will be expected to perform a full and comprehensive internal and / or external communication service dependant on changes business needs. You will work on both operational and strategic projects to support the delivery of the Communications team’s key objectives across a range of communication strands.

 

 

 

The Communications Officer will play a role in helping to implement best practice communication approach across all platforms to reflect a modern, progressive organisation. This may include implementing new, innovative communication techniques across a wide range of channels ensuring the organisation’s communications align with modern-day practices. You will work in partnership with external agencies as required across press/PR, marketing, design, digital and public affairs. In addition, you will also act as a spokesperson on behalf of the organisation.

 

 

You will need:

·Educated to degree level in a related subject area

·Excellent written and verbal communication skills including copywriting proof -reading and presenting

·Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage timelines, resources and processes

·Ability to work with a wide range of stakeholders in a dynamic and changing environment

·Team player and solution orientated, with the ability to multi-task

·Strong leadership skills, with clear evidence of effectively motivating teams and driving positive collaborations

·Ability to manage schedules, deliver to deadlines and prioritise workload

·An excellent understanding of the media on a local and national level

·Flexibility and adaptability to meet work deadlines

·Commercially astute with the ability to apply analytical and budget management skills

·Have access to a vehicle which can be used for business travel throughout NI
