Assistant Business Analyst

Apple Recruitment Services are working on behalf of their Client to recruit an Assistant Business Analyst to join their Regulatory Affairs department at the Belfast head office.

You will need to have a bachelor degree with a minimum 2:1 in a numerate, legal or business related discipline. Those graduating this year will need to be expecting to achieve this level and any job offer is conditional upon receipt of certificates confirming academic qualifications.

This graduate development role will see the successful candidate participate in a 3 year development programme specifically designed for this role that will assist the employee develop:

Strong analytical skills and techniques,

Gas industry operational knowledge,

Key business skills including communications, system development, business improvement and project management

Financial rewards will be offered upon successful completion of the different development programme modules. In addition the candidate will progress to the position of Business Analyst at the end of the programme.

The successful candidate will join the Regulatory Affairs team assisting with the delivery of compliance with all its regulatory and legal obligations as well as delivering transportation services to facilitate the movement of gas through the gas network.

Criteria:

Minimum 2:1 Bachelor’s degree in a numerate, legal or business related discipline.

Candidates applying in their final year of university must be

expected to attain a 2:1 degree*.

Essential

  • Experience of using Microsoft Office products in particular Microsoft Excel
  • Strong analytical and numerical Skills
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to manage work load to meet deadlines
  • The ability to work independently with a methodical approach in a highly demanding environment
  • Ability to operate in a professional and confidential manner at all times

Desirable

  • Experience of working with and development of databases
  • Work experience in an analytical business environment

The post holder can expect a starting salary of £18K plus benefits, training and career opportunities.

Financial rewards will be offered upon successful completion of the different development programme modules. In addition the candidate will progress to the position of Transportation Services Analyst at the end of the programme.
