Assets Officer

On behalf of our client, a growing social housing organisation, we have two opportunities for experienced Assets Officer to join their Belfast based team.

The Reporting to the Assets Manager, the Assets Officer will provide a service that may include response, planned, servicing and cyclical maintenance, adaptations to and the refurbishment of existing properties.

Criteria:

Level six qualification (e.g. Bachelor’s Degree, Graduate diploma) or above in an related discipline such as, Estate Management, Building Surveying, Construction, Engineering with 1 years’ relevant experience.

OR

Candidates with 5 years’ experience (within the last 7 years) within a construction/ Facilities/ planned maintenance environment should also apply.

AND

·Experience of contract management.

·A working knowledge of procurement processes

·A current full driving licence and access to a suitable form of transport*

·IT literate with demonstrable experience of Microsoft Office

·Effective analytical and problem solving skills

·Negotiating skills

 

The organisation offers a starting salary of £27,741, pro rata, based on a 37 hour week, anda great range of benefits including:great on-job training, a contributory pension scheme, a health cash plan which can provide help with dental, optician and medical costs (including cover for dependent children in full time education up to 18 years of age), a monthly car allowance, free employee health checks and a Cycle to Work scheme. Flexibility regarding working hours is also offered in some areas of the business.

The client has a permanent job opportunity (Ref PC3459) and a Contract to cover sickness which is initially for 3 months with the possibility of extension (PC3460). Depending on your availability, you can be considered for both if you wish.
